AP from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania Visits CSUST

On July 6th, Professor Michael L. Southwell, Assistant Provost of East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania paid a visit to CSUST and was warmly welcomed by Professor Jiang Changbo, president assistant of CSUST. Leaders from the Office of International Affairs and School of Hydraulic Engineering joined the meeting.

Both sides made a brief introduction about their respective universities. Professor Jiang Changbo acknowledged that both universities had a lot in common in discipline structure; talent training and both could make full use of top-quality education resources. He proposed that both sides could initiate their cooperation in short and long-term exchange programs for faculty and students and further move on to scientific cooperation. Professor Mike Southwell expressed his agreement and stressed potential in the ESU’s innovation center and English language training. Its innovation center could provide assistance and facilities to enterprises, scholars and individuals dedicated to innovation.

East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, located in the state of Pennsylvania, was originally established in 1893 as a normal school, committed to the cultivation of teachers. In 1983, it became ESU, as one of the 14 universities among the State System of Higher Education in Pennsylvania. It consists of Business Management College, Education College, Arts and Sciences College as well as Health Sciences College.
