

On March 24th, Mr. Kevin Hall, Deputy Vice Chancellor of UON, and Mr. Alan Broadfoot, Head of Newcastle Institute for Energy and Resources, visited CSUST. Mr. Zhang Jianren, Vice President of CSUST, together with staff from Office of International Affairs, warmly welcomed them in Yuntang campus.
Both sides reviewed the progress achieved since the establishment of friendly cooperation and reported the work related to the joint application for the undergraduate education program in electrical engineering and automation. Both sides agreed that the experience of the successful application of the joint education program in civil engineering between CSUST and the University of Tennessee (Chattanooga) should be drawn on.
During the meeting, both parties believed that the cooperation programs among industries, universities and research institutes in energy and power should be conducted and concrete collaboration should be initiated by the professors and experts in these fields in both universities. Meanwhile, potential cooperation in civil engineering and chemical engineering were also explored.
After the meeting, they gave a lecture in the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, visited the jointly-built laboratory, and had a nice conversation with staff representatives.
