On the morning of March 2nd, a delegation of seven members, headed by Mr. Joan Masnou, vice rector of the University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia from Spain, visited our university. They were greeted and welcomed by Mr. Jiang Changbo, vice president of CSUST, accompanied by staff from Office of International Affairs, Department of Scientific Research and School of Economics and Management.
Mr. Jiang warmly welcomed the guests and introduced briefly about CSUST, expressing his wishes in future cooperation in student and faculty exchanges and scientific research. Mr. Joan Masnou expressed his appreciation for the invitation and welcome and presented an overview about the disciplines, academic life, international contact and faculties. After that, Mr. Xavier Farras, dean of Faculty of Business and Communications Studies of UVic-UCC, introduced their strengths and talent cultivation mode as well as international cooperation.
During the meeting, both parties discussed in detail about the establishment of cooperation between two universities, academic cooperation, joint training in international business courses in Changsha National High-tech Industrial Development Zone and scientific research in common fields. Both acknowledged that we should make efforts to develop sound and mutually beneficial relationships.
After the meeting, Mr. Jiang and Mr. Joan Masnou, on behalf of their representative university, signed the Memorandum of Agreement and exchanged gifts.
