报告题目: Traveling Waves of One-Dimensional Degenerate Diffusion Equations

报告摘要:As special solutions of reaction-diffusion equations, traveling waves are of particular importance, as they can be used to characterize and describe the asymptotic behavior of solutions when spreading occurs. Classical traveling waves are special solutions that remain constant profile and speed, while periodic traveling waves are waves that propagate with an average speed but exhibit periodic variations in their waveform. Using one-dimensional reaction-diffusion equations as examples, this talk will introduce classical traveling waves and periodic traveling waves, as well as traveling waves and periodic traveling waves in degenerate diffusion equations. The construction methods for periodic traveling waves will be discussed in detail.

报告人简介: 娄本东，上海师范大学数理学院教授、博士生导师，是偏微分方程与生物数学领域的领军学者。1997年于山东大学获得博士学位并留校任教，1999-2005年在东京大学、北海道大学做研究员，2005年-2016年任同济大学教授，2016年3月起任上海师范大学教授。娄本东教授主要从事反应扩散方程的相关研究，尤其是对带自由边界的反应扩散方程的研究获得了一系列重要的结果，在JEMS、JMPA、SIMA、CVPDE、CPDE等国际顶级学术期刊发表70余篇高质量SCI论文，成果被广泛引用与关注。
