报告人简介Eugen Brühwiler is a Professor of structural engineering and Director of the Laboratory of Maintenance and Safety of existing Structures at the EPFL – Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland, since 1995. His teaching and research activities include modern methods of examination in structural engineering including structural and fatigue safety, monitoring and reliability of bridges and buildings as well as the use of UHPFRC for the rehabilitation and strengthening of structures. As a consulting engineer, he is involved in numerous UHPC projects, mostly related to bridges and buildings, in Switzerland and in several countries worldwide.  

报告内容简介:“Structural UHPFRC” stands for Ultra-High Performance Fiber Reinforced Cementitious Composite materials that are complemented by reinforcing and prestressing steel to enhance the resistance and durability of structural elements. Properties of impermeable, tensile strain hardening UHPFRC are discussed in view of structural applications. Two fundamental concepts to enhance bridges have been developed by research and validated by applications in Switzerland: 1) Rehabilitation and strengthening of existing concrete bridges by adding a layer of structural UHPFRC, and 2) Construction of new bridges in Structural UHPFRC, often composed of precast elements. These applications show that Structural UHPFRC has made its proof as a novel building material and technology to enhance bridges and structures in general. Structural UHPFRC is the advent of a new construction era.
